Michelle Jacobs graduated from IVY Tech State College in Fort Wayne, IN with a technical certificate in administrative medical assisting. Trained first at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, then moved to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL, and currently with Mission Health system in Asheville, NC. Current certifications include CCS and CDIP, formerly held ICD-10 Trainer certification. At Mission has held position of lead CDI and IP Coding and CDI trainer, currently working as CDI and occasional assistant educator for physician training. Married with 3 step-children and 3 cats, current secretary of Women of Waynesville which is a charitable organization for women and children in county of residence, and avid costumer at Dragon Con and Renaissance fairs.
